أكد مسؤول كبير في وزارة الدفاع الأميركية “البنتاجون” إن تكلفة الحرب الأمريكية على إيران ارتفعت لتبلغ 29 مليار دولار حتى الآن، بزيادة قدرها 4 مليارات عن تقدير قدم أواخر الشهر الماضي. وصرح “جولز هيرست”، القائم بأعمال المراقب المالي بالبنتاجون، أمام مجموعة من المشرعين إن التكلفة شملت تحديث إصلاح المعدات واستبدالها، إضافة إلى التكاليف التشغيلية. ولا يزال من غير الواضح كيف توصل “البنتاجون” إلى التقدير البالغ 29 مليار دولار. وتطالب إيران بإنهاء الحرب على جميع الجبهات، بما في ذلك لبنان، حيث تخوض إسرائيل، حليفة الولايات المتحدة، قتالاً مع مسلحي جماعة “حزب الله” المدعومة من طهران. وأكدت طهران في مطالبها أن تكون لها السيادة على مضيق هرمز، وطالبت بتعويضات عن الأضرار الناجمة عن الحرب وإنهاء الحصار البحري الأميركي وشروط أخرى.Sugar Prices Fall as Brazil Ramps Up Sugar Production
