قالت مصادر مطلعة لوكالة “رويترز” إن باكستان طلبت من الولايات المتحدة توفير تسهيل مالي بقيمة 10 مليارات دولار لدعم استقرار سعر الصرف. وأوضحت المصادر أن الطلب جاء عقب الدور الذي لعبته إسلام آباد في الوساطة بالمحادثات المرتبطة بالحرب الأمريكية الإيرانية. دعم الاحتياطيات الأجنبية أشارت المصادر إلى أن الحكومة الباكستانية تقدمت بطلب إلى وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت للحصول على تسهيل دعم ثنائي يمتد لمدة تصل إلى خمس سنوات، بما يمثل شريان حياة محتملًا لاقتصاد يعاني من ضغوط مالية متواصلة. تقليل الاعتماد على التمويل الخارجي وأضافت المصادر أن الموافقة على التسهيل ستسهم في تعزيز احتياطيات النقد الأجنبي لدى باكستان، وتخفيف الضغوط على العملة المحلية، وتقليص الاعتماد على التمويل متعدد الأطراف. ويأتي ذلك بالتزامن مع تطبيق الحكومة الباكستانية سياسات مالية ونقدية أكثر تشددًا، تماشيًا مع متطلبات برنامج صندوق النقد الدولي.CNBC Daily Open: Does Nvidia need a hug?
