كشف معهد كونجرانس بورد للدراسات الاقتصادية، عن تراجع ثقة المستهلكين في أمريكا إلى 94.6 نقطة خلال أكتوبر. وأوضح التقرير تراجعاً طفيفاً في ثقة المستهلكين الأمريكيين خلال أكتوبر الحالي مع استمرار القلق بشأن المستقبل. مؤشر ثقة المستهلكين وأضاف أن مؤشر ثقة المستهلكين تراجع بمقدار نقطة مئوية إلى 94.6 نقطة خلال الشهر الحالي مقابل 95.6 نقطة الشهر الماضي، وكان المحللون يتوقعون استقرار المؤشر عند مستواه في الشهر الماضي دون تغيير. وسجل المؤشر في شهر أكتوبر من العام الماضي 109.5 نقطة، وفقاً لوكالة “أسوشيتد برس”. كما انخفضت المؤشرات الفرعية لتوقعات الأمريكيين لدخلهم وظروف أعمالهم وسوق العمل بمقدار 2.9 نقطة لتصل إلى 71.5 نقطة لتظل أقل بكثير من 80 نقطة وهي القراءة التي قد تنذر بركود اقتصادي قادم. ومع ذلك، ارتفعت تقييمات المستهلكين لوضعهم الاقتصادي الحالي بمقدار 1.8 نقطة لتصل إلى 129.3 نقطة. وأظهرت الردود المكتوبة على الاستطلاع أن الأسعار والتضخم لا يزالان أكبر مخاوف المستهلكين، وذكر معهد كونفرانس بورد أن الإشارة إلى الرسوم الجمركية انخفضت مجدداً هذا الشهر، لكنها لا تزال مرتفعة.Duke Energy Enters Oversold Territory (DUKB)
