«نوفارتيس» تستحوذ على «مايريكس بايو» البريطانية في صفقة بـ1.5 مليار دولار
كشفت شركة “نوفارتيس” السويسرية للأدوية، اليوم الاثنين، عن موافقتها على الاستحواذ على شركة التكنولوجيا الحيوية البريطانية “مايريكس بايو” في صفقة بقيمة 1.5 مليار دولار، على أن يتم إتمامها خلال النصف الثاني من عام 2026، وذلك وفقًا لوكالة “رويترز”. تفاصيل الاستحواذ أوضحت “نوفارتيس” في بيان أنها ستدفع 1.1 مليار دولار مقدمًا، إلى جانب ما يصل إلى 400 مليون دولار كدفعات إضافية مشروطة بتحقيق أهداف محددة، للاستحواذ على الشركة التي تتخذ من العاصمة البريطانية لندن مقرًا لها. وتتخصص “مايريكس بايو” في تطوير مقترنات الأجسام المضادة بالأدوية (ADCs) المستخدمة في علاج السرطان. دعم تطوير علاجات السرطان قالت فيونا مارشال، رئيسة قسم الأبحاث الطبية الحيوية لدى “نوفارتيس”، إن مقترنات الأجسام المضادة بالأدوية أصبحت جزءًا مهمًا من علاج السرطان، إلا أن هناك حاجة إلى آليات جديدة للمواد الفعالة للتغلب على مقاومة العلاج وتوسيع تأثيرها لصالح المرضى. وأضافت أن الاستحواذ المقترح يعكس استراتيجية الشركة لتو سيع منصاتها الابتكارية، كما فعلت في العلاجات الإشعاعية الموجهة، بهدف تقديم علاجات أكثر استدامة وتحولًا للمرضىDollar Rallies and Gold Falls on Hawkish Fed Chair Warsh
