قال عباس عراقجي، وزير الخارجية الإيراني، إنه سيتم وضع قواعد جديدة لمرور السفن بمضيق هرمز بعد الحرب، مشيرًا إلى ضرورة إعادة تنظيم حركة الملاحة بما يضمن تحقيق التوازن بين المصالح الإقليمية والدولية. بروتوكول جديد لضمان المرور الآمن وأضاف عراقجي، بحسب وكالة رويترز، أنه ينبغي على الدول المطلة على مضيق هرمز صياغة بروتوكول جديد ينظم حركة العبور عقب انتهاء الحرب، موضحًا أن هذا البروتوكول سيضمن المرور الآمن للسفن وفق شروط محددة وبما يتماشى مع المصالح الإيرانية والإقليمية. موقف الولايات المتحدة من تأمين المضيق من ناحية أخرى، أكد دونالد ترامب، الرئيس الأمريكي، أنه لم يعد بحاجة إلى مساعدة في إعادة فتح مضيق هرمز، وذلك بعد رفض معظم حلفاء الولايات المتحدة المشاركة في العملية العسكرية المقترحة. وكتب ترامب على منصته “تروث سوشيال” أن أغلب حلفاء حلف شمال الأطلسي أبلغوا واشنطن بعدم رغبتهم في المشاركة في أي عمليات عسكرية ضد النظام الإيراني.China imposes trade curbs on dozens of U.S. firms in retaliation for Pentagon blacklist
