الإغلاق الحكومي في أمريكا يكلف الاقتصاد 15 مليار دولار أسبوعياً
تُقدّر خسائر الاقتصاد الأمريكي عن كل أسبوع يمرّ بما يتراوح بين 10 مليارات و30 مليار دولار، حيث تتقاطع عدة تقديرات عند مستوى 15 مليار دولار تقريباً، وفقا تقديرات المحللين. وأصبح الإغلاق الحكومي في الولايات المتحدة الأطول في التاريخ بعد دخوله يومه السادس والثلاثين ، ومع عدم وجود مؤشرات على حل قريب، تتفاقم تبعاته الاقتصادية. دونالد ترامب وتجاوز الإغلاق الرقم القياسي السابق الذي سُجل في أوائل 2019 خلال الولاية الأولى للرئيس دونالد ترامب. وقال الاقتصاديون إن هذا الإغلاق قد يُلحق ضرراً أكبر، وليس فقط بسبب مدته، فالوضع الاقتصادي أكثر هشاشة مما كان عليه قبل سبع سنوات، حيث يشعر كثير من الأمريكيين بالقلق من التضخم وآفاق سوق العمل. وعلى عكس إغلاق 2018-2019، تمتد التداعيات حالياً إلى ما هو أبعد من فقدان الموظفين الفيدراليين لرواتبهم، لتشمل ملايين الأمريكيين الذين يفقدون الوصول الكامل إلى مساعدات الغذاء مع اقتراب موسم العطلات. وصرح جوناثان ميلار، كبير الاقتصاديين الأميركيين في “باركليز” (Barclays): “تُظهر التجربة، تاريخياً، أن الإغلاقات الحكومية لا تُسبب كارثة.. لكن الوضع قد يكون مختلفاً هذه المرة”.
