أعلن مكتب أبوظبي الإعلامي، تعليق العمل في مصنع «بروج» للبتروكيماويات، بعد تعرضه لحريق نتيجة سقوط شظايا إثر تصدي الدفاعات الجوية لهجوم جديد. وأوضح البيان أن الجهات المختصة في إمارة أبوظبي تتعامل مع عدد من الحرائق التي اندلعت داخل المصنع، عقب عملية اعتراض ناجحة نفذتها أنظمة الدفاع الجوي. تصاعد التوترات الإقليمية يأتي هذا التطور في ظل تصاعد التوترات الجيوسياسية في المنطقة، مع استمرار الحرب الأمريكية الإسرائيلية على إيران للشهر الثاني، دون مؤشرات واضحة على التهدئة، حيث تواصل الولايات المتحدة هجماتها، فيما تستمر إيران في استهداف مواقع حيوية بدول الخليج. ويُعد مجمع «بروج» أحد أبرز مشروعات البتروكيماويات في المنطقة، إذ تأسس عام 1998 كشراكة بين شركة بترول أبوظبي الوطنية «أدنوك» وشركة «بورياليس»، بطاقة إنتاجية تصل إلى نحو 5 ملايين طن سنويًا من منتجات البولي أوليفين. حريق في منشآت بحرينية وفي سياق متصل، أعلنت شركة «بابكو» البحرينية اندلاع حريق في خزان بأحد منشآت التخزين التابعة لها، عقب هجوم إيراني، دون تسجيل أي إصابات.Women accounted for almost all of job gains in August.
