أكد خالد جاد، المتحدث باسم وزارة الزراعة، إلى مصر وصلت إلى أكثر من 60% في الاكتفاء الذاتي من اللحوم. استيراد اللحوم واوضح “جاد”، خلال لقاء مع الإعلامي محمد شردي في برنامج الحياة اليوم على قناة الحياة، إنه يتم استيراد اللحوم من الخارج عند وجود احتياج من السوق المحلية لمواجهة زيادة الاقبال. مشروع احياء البتلو وأضاف أنه تم تخطي الـ60% من الاكتفاء الذاتي من اللحوم، ويتم حاليًا العمل في مشروع احياء البتلو للحفاظ على اللحوم الحمراء. وأشار المتحدث بإسم وزارة الزراعة، إلي أنه يتم حاليًا تحسين السلالات الحيوانية للحفاظ على الانتاج وزيادته من خلال منع ذبح اناث الماشية. وأوضح خالد جاد، أنه تم تخطي الـ90% من الاكتفاء الذاتي من الدواجن.CNBC Daily Open: Faith in markets, doubts in diplomacy
