أعلنت مجموعة سي إم أو سي، إحدى أكبر شركات التعدين في الصين، توجهها للتوسع في المعادن النفيسة من خلال صفقة بقيمة مليار دولار، للاستحواذ على عمليات شركة إكوينوكس جولد في البرازيل. تفاصيل صفقة الاستحواذ أوضحت سي إم أو سي أن الصفقة تشمل كيانين تابعين لشركة إكوينوكس، هما ليجولد لات آم هولدينجز ولونا جولد، واللذين يسيطران على عدد من رواسب ومناجم الذهب في البرازيل. القيمة المالية للصفقة ذكرت سي إم أو سي أن إكوينوكس ستحصل على 900 مليون دولار نقدًا، إضافة إلى دفعة نقدية مشروطة قد تصل إلى 115 مليون دولار، تُسدد بعد عام واحد من إتمام الصفقة. تأثير الصفقة على الإنتاج قالت سي إم أو سي، التي يتركز نشاطها الرئيسي على النحاس والكوبالت، إن إنتاجها السنوي من الذهب سيصل إلى 8 أطنان بعد استكمال الصفقة. استحواذات سابقة كانت الشركة قد استحوذت في وقت سابق من العام الجاري على شركة التعدين الكندية لومينا جولد مقابل 581 مليون دولار كندي، بما يعادل نحو 422 مليون دولار أمريكي، بهدف الوصول إلى أكبر رواسب الذهب الأولية في الإكوادور.The 'robot relations' department may become reality in workplace of the future
