نفت شركة العامة لاستصلاح الأراضي، ما تم تداوله عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي بشأن وجود شراكة مع صندوق استثماري إماراتي لاستصلاح وزراعة 50 ألف فدان بمنطقة توشكى باستثمارات تقدر بنحو 300 مليون دولار. وأوضحت الشركة، في بيان مرسل إلى البورصة المصرية، أن ما نُشر لا يمت للحقيقة بصلة، مؤكدة عدم وجود أي علاقة لها بهذا الخبر المتداول، وأنه عارٍ تمامًا من الصحة. وأكدت الشركة حرصها على توضيح الحقائق للمستثمرين والمتعاملين، داعية إلى تحري الدقة فيما يتم تداوله من معلومات غير رسمية.
