«القضاء الأمريكي»: 166 مليار دولار تعويضات للشركات بعد إلغاء الرسوم الجمركية

أفاد براندون لورد، المتحدث باسم مصلحة الجمارك وحماية الحدود الأمريكية، بأن الشركات ستحصل على نحو 166 مليار دولار كتعويضات عن رسوم جمركية، خلال 45 يومًا، عقب حكم صادر عن المحكمة العليا الأمريكية يقضي بعدم قانونية تلك الرسوم. آلية جديدة لاسترداد الرسوم أوضحت مصلحة الجمارك أن العمل جارٍ على إنشاء آلية مبسطة لاسترداد الرسوم الجمركية، حيث بلغت نسبة الإنجاز ما بين 60% و85%. ومن المتوقع أن يستغرق النظام الجديد نحو 45 يومًا لمراجعة الطلبات ومعالجتها. استقبال الطلبات على مراحل أشار لورد إلى أن النظام سيبدأ استقبال طلبات الاسترداد تدريجيًا، مع إعطاء الأولوية للإقرارات الجمركية المقدمة خلال آخر 80 يومًا، والتي تم تعليقها أو تمديدها أو مراجعتها. تسجيل آلاف المستوردين للاسترداد ذكرت مصلحة الجمارك الأمريكية أن أكثر من 26 ألف مستورد سجلوا بالفعل للحصول على استرداد إلكتروني، بإجمالي رسوم جمركية تبلغ نحو 120 مليار دولار.
